Short-pass filter passing vivid blue–cyan (410 – 575 nm) while crushing warm colours & IR light past 610 nm for cool, glare-free illumination.
BH-S17 delivers a clean, high-output blue–cyan band while stopping almost
everything from deep yellow through infrared. Transmission exceeds 90 %
by ~410 nm and stays flat (≈ 92–94 %) to 575 nm, then plunges
below one percent just after 590 nm and hugs the baseline well past
740 nm. Rugged ion-assisted coatings shrug off stage heat, humidity,
solvents, and frequent cleaning, and KUPO can shift edges, smooth ripples,
supply 45° AOI versions, or cut any shape from 5 mm chips to 450 mm
plates in about two weeks.
Typical applications: stage & architectural lighting,
fluorescence microscopy & cytometry, machine-vision illumination,
blue-laser lithography & curing, and AR/VR optics requiring vivid blue
graphics without warm-colour bleed.
BH-S17 gives you a clean, high-output blue–cyan band while it stops almost everything from deep yellow through infrared. Transmission rises above 90 % at ~410 nm, stays flat (about 92–94 %) out to 575 nm, then plummets below 1 % just after 590 nm and hugs the baseline well past 740 nm. The result is vivid cool-colour light with virtually no red leak or IR heat.
Key advantages
High blue–cyan throughput – > 90 % T between 410 nm and 575 nm for LEDs, lasers, and fluorescence lamps.
Sharp 590 nm cutoff – ~10 nm edge cleanly splits cool and warm colours, keeping colour purity high.
Deep blocking band – < 0.5 % T from 610 nm to 740 nm removes red glare and IR heat.
Hard-oxide durability – Ion-assisted stack withstands stage heat, humidity, solvents, and frequent cleaning.
Made to order, fast – Edge shifts, ripple smoothing, 45 ° AOI versions, and formats from 5 mm chips to 450 mm plates in about two weeks.
Typical applications
Stage & architectural lighting – Swap into ellipsoidals or PARs for crisp ice-blue washes without red/IR heat; cuts gel use and extends lamp life.
Fluorescence microscopes & cytometers – Excite CFP/FITC dyes while blocking longer-wavelength emissions for cleaner detection.
Machine-vision illumination – Pair with 450 nm LED bars for high-contrast inspection of plastics, pharmaceuticals, and anti-counterfeit inks.
Blue-laser lithography & curing – Pass 405–450 nm lines for photoresists while stopping red/IR that can warp substrates.
AR / VR waveguides – Inject vivid blue graphics without leaking warm colours into the user’s eye path.
KUPO Optics can prototype and ship BH-S17 in any shape—round, square, hexagonal, or custom—from 5 mm to 450 mm to match your project.
