Short-pass filter delivering vivid blue (410 – 500 nm), a gentle mid-VIS roll-off, and a mild NIR lift—perfect for cool colour plus an IR channel.
BH-S19 delivers a bright royal-blue window, a smooth roll-off through the
greens and reds, and a mild near-IR rise. Transmission is above 88 % by
410 nm, holds 90–92 % out to ~500 nm, then slopes down to ~5 % around
620–650 nm. Beyond 700 nm it climbs again, reaching ~20 % at 780 nm—ideal
when you want to cool a light source without blacking out the entire
mid-visible band and still let a whisper of IR through for alignment or
sensing.
The ion-assisted hard-oxide stack shrugs off heat, humidity, solvents, and
repeated cleaning. KUPO coats Borofloat®, soda-lime, Schott D263 T, or
Corning Eagle XG glass in any outline from 5 mm chips to 450 mm plates,
0.21 – 3.8 mm thick, and can ship prototypes in about two weeks.

Key advantages
High blue output – > 90 % T from 410 nm to 500 nm for vivid LED or laser illumination.
Smooth mid-band attenuation – Gradual drop removes green–orange warmth without an abrupt notch, maintaining pleasing colour transitions.
Controlled NIR tail – Rising transmission above 700 nm offers a built-in IR channel for depth cameras, tracking beacons, or subtle warmth.
Hard-oxide durability – Ion-assisted coating survives heat, humidity, solvents, and frequent cleaning.
Flexible sizing – KUPO coats Borofloat®, soda-lime, Schott D263 T, or Corning Eagle XG glass in any shape from 5 mm to 450 mm and thicknesses 0.21 – 3.8 mm.
Typical applications
Stage & architectural lighting – Create cool cyan washes while taming audience-distracting greens/reds; the gentle IR tail supports tracking systems.
Dual-mode vision – Use blue light for inspection and the soft NIR lift for depth sensing or eye-safe alignment—no extra optics needed.
AR / VR displays – Inject crisp blue graphics yet leave enough 750 nm signal for eye-tracking cameras.
Fluorescence screening – Excite CFP/FITC efficiently, dampen autofluorescence in the mid-visible, and keep a reference IR path.
Creative photography & cinema – Cool down LED panels while retaining a touch of IR for speciality sensors or artistic flare.
