½-CTO glass filter: < 25 % T below 530 nm, > 90 % by 625 nm, and 90–94 % through 765 nm—shifting daylight heads to ~3200 K with crisp red output.
CTO-014 pushes daylight or cool-white fixtures well into a cosy tungsten zone—about a
½-CTO conversion that brings 5600 K down to ~3200 K. Transmission stays below 25 % through the blue-green band,
then rises sharply, clearing 90 % at ~625 nm and hovering at 90–94 % right out to 765 nm before a gentle taper.
The steep ramp removes harsh blue while preserving red-orange punch, giving cameras and eyes a welcoming
amber without green spikes or heavy lumen loss.
KUPO coats Borofloat®, soda-lime, Schott D263 T, or Corning Eagle XG substrates cut to any outline—from
5 mm chips to 450 mm plates—in thicknesses of 0.21–3.8 mm, and ships prototypes in about two weeks.
Typical uses: warming LED/HMI keys for film & TV, amber stage washes that survive rig heat, inviting
architectural accents, golden-hour flash mods, and red-contrast machine-vision tasks.
CTO-014 dials daylight down to a cosy, camera-friendly amber without sacrificing output in the reds. Transmission hovers below 25 % through the blue–green range, then rises sharply—clearing 90 % at ~625 nm and holding 90 – 94 % all the way to 765 nm before tapering slightly toward 780 nm. The result is a strong ½-CTO correction: enough warmth to blend 5600 K LEDs or HMIs with tungsten sources while still preserving punch and color rendering on skin tones and wood surfaces.
Key advantages
½-CTO conversion – Shifts daylight fixtures toward ~3200 K with a single, durable glass element.
High red efficiency – > 90 % T from 625 – 765 nm keeps lumen output and CRI high.
Blue suppression – < 25 % T below 530 nm cuts harsh blue that flattens faces and drives glare.
All-glass longevity – Hard oxide coatings shrug off heat, UV and scratches that quickly ruin plastic gels.
Custom formats – Supplied round, square or free-form up to 450 mm, 0.21 – 3.8 mm thick, on Borofloat®, soda-lime, D263 T or Corning Eagle XG glass.
Typical applications
Film & TV lighting – Warm key-lights or HMIs to tungsten without stacking gel layers.
Stage & live events – Create inviting amber washes that survive the rig’s heat cycle.
Architectural accents – Add hospitality warmth to lobbies and restaurants while blocking blue that fades fabrics.
Photography strobes – Give flash heads a golden-hour tint for portrait and product shoots.
Machine-vision & inspection – Enhance red-channel contrast where blue glare obscures detail.
