CTO-061 delivers a +100 Mired shift to move 5600 K light toward 3400 K. Its smooth spectral slope creates a natural warming effect, with about 51.9 % average visible transmittance and a low amount of light loss.

The ion-assisted hard-oxide coating is built for repeated handling, heat, and cleaning.

Best suited for:

Strong but not full warming when you want a natural blend between daylight and tungsten sources.

Description

CTO-061 shares the bandpass character of CTO-060 but with a slightly different profile. Its 50 % crossover sits at 572 nm, and transmission peaks at 88.3 % at 605 nm, with T > 85 % from 596-622 nm - an even narrower peak window than CTO-060. Blue is heavily suppressed (avg 6.2 %), while a violet shoulder at 380 nm retains 60.2 %. NIR rolls off to 72.4 % at 800 nm. The tight orange passband and violet shoulder give CTO-061 a distinctive warm-magenta tinge not found in standard longpass CTOs.

Key Advantages

  • Tight orange passband (T > 85 % from 596-622 nm) - produces the narrowest focused warm-band window in the CTO series.
  • Peak of 88.3 % at 605 nm - centres output in the pure orange region for saturated colour.
  • Deep blue suppression with violet shoulder - creates a warm-magenta character from the combination of violet and orange transmission.
  • Hard-oxide durability - ion-assisted coating withstands heat, humidity, solvents, and cleaning.
  • Custom formats available - round, square, or free-form blanks from 5 mm to 450 mm, thickness 0.21-3.8 mm, on Borofloat®, soda-lime, Schott D263 T, or Corning Eagle XG substrates.

Typical Applications

  • Stage and event lighting effects - creates a warm-magenta wash with a distinctive violet overtone for unique creative scene design.
  • Film and photography colour effects - adds a complex warm tone that combines orange and violet for artistic portrait and landscape work.
  • Architectural feature lighting - produces warm orange accents with a subtle magenta character for contemporary design aesthetics.
  • Machine vision narrow-band orange - isolates a tight orange window for precision colour-based sorting and inspection.
  • Spectral research - provides a narrow, well-characterised orange passband with violet shoulder for optical studies.
