Long-pass filter blocking cyan-green (< 560 nm) while passing ≥ 92 % warm orange-to-red light (565 – 780 nm) with colour-neutral flatness.
O15808 knocks out nearly every photon below ~560 nm, then delivers a
broad, high-transmission band from rich orange through deep red.
Transmission stays under one percent up to ~545 nm, rockets past 92 %
by ~565 nm, and rides a 92 – 95 % plateau to 780 nm with ripple held to
± 2 %. The ion-assisted hard-oxide coating shrugs off heat, humidity,
solvents, and frequent cleaning. KUPO coats Borofloat®, soda-lime,
Schott D263 T, or Corning Eagle XG substrates in any outline from 5 mm
chips to 450 mm plates (0.21 – 3.8 mm thick) and can ship prototypes in
about two weeks.
Typical uses: LED colour-tuning, orange/red fluorescence
collection, cyan-green glare suppression in machine vision, warming
photo/film lighting toward a tungsten feel, and AR/HUD graphics injection
without blue-green leak.
O15808 knocks out nearly every photon below about 560 nm, then delivers a broad, high-transmission band from rich orange through deep red. Transmission stays under 1 % up to roughly 545 nm, rockets past 92 % by ~565 nm, and holds between 92 – 95 % all the way to 780 nm with ripple contained to ±2 %. It is a simple, colour-neutral way to warm LED sources, isolate orange-to-red fluorescence, or strip cyan-green glare from machine-vision scenes.
Key advantages
Steep cyan-green cutoff – ≈ 15 nm edge cleanly separates cool and warm colours for maximum contrast.
High, flat passband – ≥ 92 % T from ~565 nm to 780 nm keeps brightness and hue consistent.
Deep blue suppression – < 0.3 % T below 540 nm eliminates harsh LED spikes and protects detectors.
Hard-oxide durability – Ion-assisted layers endure heat, humidity, solvents, and frequent cleaning.
Format flexibility – Round, square, or free-form blanks from 5 mm to 450 mm, 0.21 – 3.8 mm thick, on Borofloat®, soda-lime, Schott D263 T, or Corning Eagle XG glass.
Typical applications
LED colour tuning – Filter cool spikes in white or RGB fixtures to achieve cosy, amber-rich ambience.
Fluorescence emission – Collect orange/red dyes (mCherry, Texas Red, Cy3) while blocking blue-green excitation.
Machine vision – Remove cyan-green reflections on shiny parts while keeping the red channel bright for inspection.
Photography & cinema – Warm daylight LEDs toward a tungsten look without gels, maintaining high optical efficiency.
AR / HUD optics – Inject orange-to-red graphics cleanly, with zero blue-green leak into the viewer’s eye path.
