Long-pass filter blocking blue–green (< 540 nm) while passing ≥ 92 % warm orange-to-red light (555 – 780 nm) for glare-free, colour-rich output.
O17907 blocks almost all light below ~540 nm, then delivers a flat,
high-transmission window from warm orange through deep red. Transmission
is essentially zero from 420 nm to 510 nm (aside from a modest ~30 % ripple
near 400 nm that KUPO can flatten). By 555 nm it leaps past 92 % and stays
92 – 95 % to 780 nm with ripple kept within ±2 %. Ion-assisted hard-oxide
coatings shrug off heat, humidity, solvents, and frequent cleaning. KUPO
coats Borofloat®, soda-lime, Schott D263 T, or Corning Eagle XG substrates
in any outline—from 5 mm chips to 450 mm plates, 0.21 – 3.8 mm thick—and
can ship prototypes in about two weeks.
Typical uses: LED colour tuning, orange/red fluorescence capture,
blue-glare suppression in machine vision, daylight-to-tungsten balancing
for film lighting, and AR/HUD graphics that must block blue-green leak.
O17907 blocks almost all light below about 540 nm, then lets a broad, high-transmission band from warm orange through deep red reach the sensor. Transmission is virtually zero from 420 nm to 510 nm (apart from a modest ~30 % ripple near 400 nm that can be flattened on request). By 555 nm it leaps past 92 % and stays between 92 – 95 % out to 780 nm, with ripple held within ±2 %. Ideal for warming LED sources, capturing orange-to-red fluorescence, or taming blue-green glare in machine-vision cameras.
Key advantages
Steep blue–green cutoff – ≈15 nm edge crisply separates cool and warm colours.
High, colour-neutral passband – ≥92 % T from ~555 nm to 780 nm keeps brightness and hue stable.
Deep short-wave suppression – <0.3 % T across 420 – 510 nm removes LED spikes and protects detectors.
Optional UV peek control – 400 nm ripple can be suppressed for applications needing absolute blue rejection.
Hard-oxide durability – Ion-assisted coating resists heat, humidity, solvents, and frequent cleaning.
Flexible formats – Round, square, or free-form blanks from 5 mm to 450 mm, thickness 0.21 – 3.8 mm, on Borofloat®, soda-lime, Schott D263 T, or Corning Eagle XG glass.
Typical applications
LED colour tuning – Filter cool spikes in white or RGB fixtures for cosy, amber-rich ambience.
Fluorescence emission – Capture orange/red dyes (e.g., mCherry, Texas Red) while blocking blue-green excitation.
Machine vision – Suppress specular blue reflections on shiny parts while keeping the red channel bright for inspection.
Photography & cinema – Warm daylight LEDs toward a tungsten look without gels; maintain high optical efficiency.
AR / HUD combiners – Inject orange-to-red graphics cleanly, with zero blue-green leak into the viewer’s eye.
