BH-A13 is a 45 ° dichroic red-pass mirror that channels the red primary (≈ 580 – 730 nm) through your projection or imaging path while bouncing away all blue-green energy. The coating’s flat-top passband delivers > 95 % throughput from the orange edge of the spectrum right up to deep-red, then falls sharply to suppress near-IR spill that can wash out contrast or overheat light-engine components.
Key advantages
> 95 % transmission 580 – 730 nm – maximises red luminance in 3-LCD, DLP® and LCoS combiners.
< 1 % leakage below 550 nm – keeps stray blue/green out of the red channel for razor-clean colour separation.
Steep 8 nm transition edge – minimal overlap with green mirror for wide-gamut, high-corner-uniformity projectors.
High-laser-damage oxide stack – survives > 10 W cm-² CW or pulsed RGB-laser illumination.
Custom-cut optics – Borofloat®, Eagle XG, ultra-thin D263 T (≤ 450 °C) or soda-lime (≤ 150 °C) | 5 – 450 mm size, 0.21 – 3.8 mm thick.
Typical applications
RGB projection prisms – pass red to the R-panel while reflecting green/blue into their arms.
Laser-phosphor engines – separate red phosphor output from pump bands without extra glass.
HUD / AR combiners – inject bright red symbology while blocking stray daylight reflections.
Machine-vision illumination – create pure red lines or spots for high-contrast defect detection.
Multispectral cameras – isolate the red channel cleanly in three-band or five-band filter wheels.
