Our Black Chrome Coatings provide ultra-low reflectance (< 2%) across the UV-NIR spectrum to eliminate stray light and boost contrast. They are specified for sensitive systems like spectrometers, LIDAR receivers, and VR/AR headsets where even a single flare could compromise data. In entertainment lighting, they are used to line follow-spot barrels and snoots, sharpening the beam’s edge by absorbing internal reflections.
This chromium-oxide film is vacuum-deposited onto your choice of quality glass and is heat-resistant to 450°C. We produce custom shapes from 5 mm to 450 mm and can even pattern or mask the coating to create baffles or fiducials. Every part meets MIL-M-13508C durability standards, ensuring it's ready for any optical bench, sensor housing, or lighting fixture.
