Broadband Notch Filter

Our Broadband Notch Filters work by removing a wide band of unwanted light while letting other wavelengths pass through. This is ideal for technical tasks like suppressing light pollution for astrophotography or managing stray light in AR/VR prototypes. In entertainment lighting, removing a wide central portion of the spectrum (like green and yellow) creates vivid magenta and violet hues, with the unique bonus of passing UV and IR accents for layered designs.

Our advanced hard-dielectric coating process results in a tough filter with a high laser-damage threshold and minimal angle shift. Built on your choice of quality glass and certified to MIL-M-13508C for durability, we can machine any shape from 5 mm chips to 450 mm panels. You define the center wavelength, notch width, and substrate thickness, giving you full control to own the spectrum.
