HMG-6 is a minus-green (magenta-balance) broadband filter for cleaning LED/fluorescent green spill while keeping brightness and colour fidelity. Transmission is high across the blue and red working bands—~80–88% from ~420–470 nm, ~93–95% across ~480–520 nm, then after a controlled green notch bottoms near ~45% around ~545–555 nm, it returns to ~92–95% from ~605–690 nm. Beyond ~710 nm, the curve rolls down toward the far red, reaching ~35–40% by ~780 nm.
Key advantages
-
Minus-green tuning — targeted attenuation across ~520–565 nm reduces “plus-green” without over-magenta shifting.
-
High transmission where you need it — ~93–95% T through ~480–520 nm and ~605–690 nm preserves output, contrast and saturation.
-
Predictable, low-ripple curve — smooth spectral shape delivers consistent colour moves across dimming levels and fixture types.
-
Production-ready durability — hard dielectric stack resists abrasion and humidity; optional rear-surface AR and slight wedge suppress ghosts/flare.
-
Custom formats — Borofloat®, Eagle XG or D263 T (0.21–3.8 mm) for high-temp to ~450 °C; economical soda-lime for ≤150 °C. Custom sizes 5–450 mm.
Typical applications
-
Cinema/TV lighting — lift TLCI/CRI by trimming green while keeping natural reds and blues.
-
Photography & events — cleaner skin tones and neutral whites under mixed LED/fluorescent rigs.
-
Architectural & stage — tame greenish ambience in venues while maintaining punch and clarity.
-
Retail & museum — present accurate product and artwork colour with minimal loss of output.
-
Machine vision — balance channels when the green band overwhelms red-critical features.
