BBP-680 isolates the red / NIR channel with ~95–97 % transmission across ~650–730 nm and near-baseline leakage elsewhere—ideal for inspection, sensing and multispectral imaging.
BBP-680 is a red / near-infrared bandpass centred around 680–700 nm, delivering
~95–97 % transmission through the ~650–730 nm window with steep edges that rapidly suppress
out-of-band light. Outside the passband, transmission stays near baseline (~0–2 %) across most
of the visible and near-IR (300–650 nm and 740–1200 nm), reducing background and preventing
veiling glare under broadband illumination.
Typical uses: red LED illumination for machine vision, fluorescence/bio-imaging red channels,
photometry and reflectance sensing, vegetation imaging workflows, and channel separation in multispectral
instruments. KUPO supplies rear-surface AR, slight wedge, and rapid custom cutting—from small test chips
to 450 mm plates—on high-temperature glass (Borofloat®, Eagle XG, D263 T) or economical soda-lime.
BBP-680 is a red/near-infrared bandpass filter centred around 680–700 nm. It delivers a high transmission window of about ~95–97% across roughly ~650–730 nm, with steep edges that quickly suppress out-of-band light. Outside the passband, transmission stays near the baseline (generally ~0–2% across most of 300–650 nm and 740–1200 nm), with only small residual features.
Key advantages
High 680 nm throughput: ~95–97% T across ~650–730 nm for efficient red LED and laser-diode use.
Steep band edges: Rapid cut-on and cut-off around the ~640–740 nm region for clean spectral separation.
Low out-of-band leakage (VIS–NIR): Near-baseline transmission across most of 300–650 nm and 740–1200 nm reduces background and improves contrast.
Stray-light control: Strong rejection outside the passband helps prevent veiling glare under broadband illumination.
Production-ready build: Durable dielectric coating; optional rear-surface anti-reflection and slight wedge available to suppress ghosts/flare.
Custom formats: Borofloat®, Eagle XG or D263 T (0.21–3.8 mm) for high-temp use to ~450 °C; economical soda-lime for ≤150 °C. Custom sizes 5–450 mm.
Typical applications
680 nm illumination: Improve signal-to-background for machine vision and inspection with red LED sources.
Fluorescence and bio-imaging: Band-select red channels while suppressing excitation and ambient spill.
Photometry and sensing: Clean spectral window for reflectance/absorption measurements in the red.
Agriculture and vegetation imaging: Isolate red-band reflectance features for contrast and indexing workflows.
Optical instruments: Stray-light control and channel separation in multi-spectral systems.
