BBP-940W3 isolates the 940 nm channel with ~90 % throughput from 910–980 nm and near-baseline leakage everywhere else—built for ToF, tracking and NIR machine vision.
BBP-940W3 is a near-infrared bandpass centred on 940 nm, delivering a high-transmission
window (~88–90 %) across ~910–980 nm with steep edges that rapidly suppress out-of-band light. Outside the
passband, transmission stays close to the baseline (typically ~0–3 % across 300–900 nm and ~1000–1100 nm),
helping sensors stay stable under mixed illumination and preventing bloom or flare.
Typical uses: 940 nm IR illumination, time-of-flight and structured light depth systems, eye-safe
biometrics, IR beacons/tracking, and reflectance/absorption photometry where a clean 940 nm channel matters.
KUPO can supply rear-surface AR, slight wedge, and rapid custom cutting—from small test chips to 450 mm
plates—on high-temp glass (Borofloat®, Eagle XG, D263 T) or economical soda-lime.
BBP-940W3 is a near-infrared bandpass filter centred around 940 nm. It delivers a high transmission window of ~88–90% from roughly 910–980 nm, with steep edges on both sides that quickly suppress out-of-band light. Outside the passband, transmission stays near the baseline (generally ~0–3% from 300–900 nm and from ~1000–1100 nm), with only small residual features at a few wavelengths.
Key advantages
High 940 nm throughput — ~88–90% T across ~910–980 nm for efficient LED and laser-diode use.
Steep band edges — rapid cut-on and cut-off around the 900 nm and 1000 nm regions for clean spectral separation.
Low out-of-band leakage — near-baseline transmission across most of the visible and near-IR reduces background and improves contrast.
Stray-light control — strong rejection outside the passband helps keep sensors from blooming under mixed illumination.
Production-ready build — durable dielectric coating; optional rear-surface AR and slight wedge available to suppress ghosts/flare.
Custom formats — Borofloat®, Eagle XG or D263 T (0.21–3.8 mm) for high-temp use to ~450 °C; economical soda-lime for ≤150 °C. Custom sizes 5–450 mm.
Typical applications
940 nm IR illumination — improve signal-to-background for night vision, presence sensing, and machine vision.
ToF and structured light — isolate 940 nm emitters from ambient light for stable depth measurements.
Eye-safe biometric systems — enhance contrast for iris/face illumination at 940 nm.
IR beacons and tracking — reject visible clutter while passing the 940 nm marker band.
Optical sensing and photometry — clean 940 nm channel for reflectance and absorption measurements.
